Decision Release Dates For EA, ED, And BS/MD Programs For The 2022-23 Admissions Cycle
Many seniors are eagerly watching and waiting to hear back from universities that they have applied to as Early Decision (ED) or Early Action (EA). Applying early, especially Early Decision, can significantly improve the chances of admittance. However, the higher acceptance rate for Early Decision does have a few strings attached: if the student is admitted, they are obligated to attend.
What To Do If You Aren’t Accepted
While applying Early Decision (ED) does offer students an increase in admission rates, it isn’t a guarantee of acceptance, especially as more students apply early. Because of this increased interest in earlier deadlines, students will want a backup plan if they don’t get into their Early Decision (ED) or Early Action (EA) schools. Universities will have their regular decision deadlines in January and February, with some schools accepting applications even later into the summer.
