Should I apply Early Decision?
When applying to college, students are faced with a decision before they even begin the application. Do I apply early decision? Early action? Restrictive early action? Regular decision?
NACAC (National Association for College Admission Counseling) has a flier that explains the admissions options in an easy-to-understand way. It’s important to fully understand that some options are binding, meaning that students are obligated to attend the university if admitted.
At Moon Prep, we work with students to weigh the pros and cons of each admissions option. We are numbers people. Therefore, we look at each individual university and examine the admit rate, from previous years, for each option to help us in the decision process.
Free information for both students and parents can be found on the NACAC website. It is a wonderful resource where you can see the college fair calendar, take a webinar, or read their popular blog.
