More Big Changes For These Popular BS/MD Programs

By Brandie Erickson October 12, 2023 BS/MD Admissions Consulting

As the application cycle for our seniors continues to approach, more direct medical programs have announced changes. Here is what we know so far:

  • All Upstate Accelerated Scholars (UAS) Programs, paired with SUNY Upstate Medical School, continue to be paused. We are monitoring this closely; as of now there is no information whether they will be accepting applications this cycle.
  • Nova Southeastern University has started a new BS/MD program, in addition to their BS/DO program. Students can only apply to one direct medical program. To qualify for the BS/MD program, students must have a 35 ACT or a 1540 SAT. There are 5 spots available.
  • University of Toledo’s BACC2MD Pathway has a higher GPA and SAT/ ACT requirement this year: now requiring a 3.8 GPA and 30 ACT/1410 SAT.
  • Stony Brook’s Scholar for Medicine has a 10/15 priority deadline but will continue to accept applications through 1/15.
  • University of Pittsburgh Guaranteed Admission Program will accept superscore for both the SAT and the ACT.

As we learn more updates for this admissions cycle, we will continue to update you.
