Vidya brings a personalized, one-on-one approach to her work with students, drawing on her experience as a former Director of Admissions at Cornell University. She carefully guides students through building strategic college lists, crafting standout essays, and developing competitive applications.

Bio:
Vidya is an experienced college counselor at Moon Prep, where she specializes in guiding students through the competitive and often complex applications process for BS/MD, BS/DO, and traditional medical programs. Previously, Vidya served as the Director of Admissions at Cornell university, giving her firsthand experience on the other side of the admissions table. Her background supports her strategic approach, and she uses it to empower students to present their strongest, most authentic selves throughout the application process.

With a deep understanding of the requirements for both undergraduate and medical school admissions, Vidya helps students navigate every stage -from school selection to personal development and interview prep. Presently, Vidya’s recent focus has been on direct medical programs. Vidya is highly versatile and just as skilled at highlighting the strengths of engineering applications as she is with those in the humanities or sciences.

Vidya’s diverse writing skills stem from her professional experience as both a writer and an MCAT test prep content developer, allowing her to help students craft essays that are reflective of their unique voice.
