Application iQ – Semester 1

Student Profile: Rising 12th grade (Class of 2027, Direct Medical Applicants – BS/MD, BS/DO)
Schedule:
- The camp consists of 6 summer sessions, divided into Semester 1 and Semester 2.
- There is a 7-week break between Semester 1 and Semester 2. During this time, students will complete assigned homework to prepare for the next phase. They will continue to work 1-on-1 with their assigned counselor.
Semester 1 – Application Preparation and Essay Readiness (7:30-9:00pm EST)
- Session 1 – Thursday, June 4, 2026
- Session 2 – Thursday, June 11, 2026
- Session 3 – Thursday, June 18, 2026
Topics Covered:
- Moon Prep Students can attend all live sessions at no additional cost, as this program is included in your fee.
- BS/MD Application Components: Students will become familiar with key elements of the BS/MD and BS/DO application process, including how to approach medical-focused essay questions, traditional vs. MMI interview formats, CASPer test preparation, and other important application Components.
- The Common App and school-specific applications: Students will work through the Common Application while also learning to navigate college-specific applications and additional platforms.
- Essay Development: Students will draft and refine their personal statement while getting an early start on supplemental essays.
- Essay management and tracking: Students will become familiar with Moon Prep’s essay management system to organize essays, monitor deadlines, and stay on track throughout the application process.
