Bio:
An essay coach with Moon Prep, Kathleen takes a “whole application” approach to admissions, partnering with her students to craft strong narrative essays that make them highly competitive for their top-choice colleges. As a coach and current university admissions officer, Kathleen has extensive experience reviewing applications, working with students and their families, processing financial aid, and planning tours of campuses, colleges, and fairs. Kathleen is passionate about channeling her inside-the-decision-room insights and best practices to students seeking admission to competitive traditional four-year universities.

Alongside her mentoring at Moon Prep, Kathleen currently serves as an admissions officer for Benedictine University. There, she works with high school students to educate them about the university’s academic offerings, reviews student applications, reviews scholarships, and hosts one-on-one meetings with prospective students and parents. With a few years of experience working alongside admission committees and university administrators, Kathleen brings a unique perspective to students seeking guidance on what colleges are looking for in the next generation of scholars and student leaders.

Previously, Kathleen worked at the YMCA of Greater Indianapolis; she worked directly with children, guiding them through their academic assignments and planning on-site activities. As a big believer in mentoring, Kathleen was a member of College Mentors for Kids, where she worked with numerous schools to provide educational programming. As a student at the University of Indianapolis at the time, this experience reaffirmed her love for working with students and helping them achieve their educational goals.
