Bio:
As a counselor with Moon Prep, Kathleen takes a holistic approach to admissions, partnering with her students to craft strong applications and narrative essays that make them highly competitive for their top-choice colleges. Kathleen has served as a university admissions officer for a private university, allowing her to gain extensive experience reviewing applications, assisting with scholarships and financial aid, and gaining first-hand knowledge of the criteria admissions officers value when selecting a candidate. Kathleen is passionate about channeling her inside-the-decision-room insights and best practices to students seeking admission to competitive universities and BS/MD Programs.

In her role as an admissions officer, Kathleen saw what goes on behind the scenes in the selection process, and it was more than just grades that got candidates a coveted spot. Kathleen works with her students to craft stand-out applications that show their true personality and value. She is equipped to guide her students through every step of the process, including personal statements, supplemental essays, application support, scholarships, financial aid, interviews, and staying on top of deadlines.

Kathleen has worked alongside admission committees and university administrators; she brings a unique perspective to students seeking guidance on what colleges are looking for in the next generation of scholars and student leaders. As a big believer in mentoring, Kathleen was a member of the non-profit College Mentors for Kids, where she worked with numerous schools to provide educational programming and mentorship.
