Bio:
Chris Arzola is a college admissions counselor based in San Diego who brings a coaching-driven mindset to post-secondary planning. With a background in leadership, athletics, and student development, Chris approaches admissions counseling as a relationship-based process centered on intentional decision-making, confidence-building, and long-term growth.
Chris works with students to clarify goals, organize experiences, and make realistic, informed choices, rather than pursuing résumé-driven or comparison-based paths. He emphasizes reflection, sustained engagement, and clear communication skills that are essential not only for admissions but for student success beyond high school.
Chris has extensive experience supporting students in pre-med, nursing, and pre-health pathways, helping them think strategically about coursework, experiential learning, and application narratives. He understands the competitive nature of these programs and supports students in developing coherent, authentic stories that align academic preparation with long-term professional goals.
He also frequently works with students whose academic paths have been non-traditional or evolving. Chris excels at helping students contextualize their journeys in a way that highlights growth, perseverance, and self-awareness qualities that admissions committees consistently value.
