Bio:
As an essay coach with Moon Prep, Kiernan partners with students to create specific, impactful, and unforgettable essays. A born storyteller, he believes that the power of narrative brings people together and creates opportunities and connections. Kiernan is passionate about helping students take the next step on their journey while empowering them to be their whole selves. From initial conversations to final submissions, Kiernan is dedicated to engaging, supportive, and motivational interactions that help guide students toward their futures as amazing physicians.
When not working on student essays, Kiernan is a professional theatre artist, educator, entrepreneur, and freelance writer. He has worked on dozens of theatre productions, taught every age group from pre-K to graduate students, and written extensively on history, art, and culture. Currently, he is a scriptwriter, voice actor, and creative director for the Literary Adventure Society.
In addition to his work at Moon Prep, Kiernan has 10+ years of experience in the medical simulation industry. He has taught fundamentals of physical exams, medical interview techniques, and diagnostic reasoning at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Georgetown University School of Medicine, and Uniformed Services University School of Health Sciences. He relished the opportunity to provide hands-on training, build longitudinal relationships with students, and help train the next generation of physicians with a compassionate and patient-focused approach.
