Bio:
A medical mentor and essay coach with Moon Prep, Nidhi brings deep experience across academia, medicine, and writing to the admissions process, guiding her students to strengthen their resumes, secure passion projects, and craft unique essays that stand out at top-tier programs. As a medical mentor and current medical student in the ultra-competitive and highly-selective PLME Program at Brown University, Nidhi brings her personal experience in medicine and a passion for mentoring to the next generation of doctors. As a student at the Warren Alpert Medical School, she is well-versed in BS/MD applications and has gained invaluable insight into the nuances of approaching application essays and executing effective admission strategies. Nidhi enjoys helping students and their families create college lists, search for resume-building opportunities, and craft unique essays that highlight the student’s personal stories and passions.

Alongside her mentoring at Moon Prep, Nidhi is currently a first-year medical student at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. Unique to Nidhi’s studies is her enrollment in Brown’s Program in Liberal Medical Education (PLME). This innovative eight-year program combines four years of college with four years of medical training for exceptional students and scholars. This BS/MD program is the only one of its kind among the Ivy League universities. Given her success in medical admissions, Nidhi offers her students unrivaled insights into the best practices and application pillars that ultimately strengthen student profiles and improve the odds of acceptance. As a BS/MD student with a passion for writing, Nidhi has enjoyed helping others draft and refine college essays and personal statements in a manner that authentically showcases their stories. She also has experience seeking out research, passion projects, and volunteer opportunities. With a focus on the big picture, Nidhi also enjoys guiding prospective BS/MD applicants through choosing activities and experiences that supplement and strengthen their applications. She also has years of experience tutoring students through courses in Latin, AP Calculus, AP English Literature, and AP English Language.

Before Moon Prep, Nidhi gained experience in college counseling, specializing in pre-medical and BS/MD applications. In this role, she worked closely with over a dozen students to plan application strategies, brainstorm and revise essays, host webinars and trainings, and create long-term admission strategies. Nidhi has a track record of research experience with organizations like the New York Stem Cell Foundation, Brown University’s School of Public Health, and the Warren Alpert Medical School. In these roles, she researched scientific protocols for communication tools and organizational programming, studied digital health interventions for vulnerable populations in the lab of Dr. Jacob van den Berg, and served as the technical editor for the Global Emergency Medicine Literature Review. As a result of her diverse academic training, Nidhi has extensive experience with academic writing through her coursework in public policy and anthropology and has served as a columnist for the Brown Daily Herald. She served as editor-in-chief of Oxford University’s student paper, The Oxford Blue, and is currently the editor of Warren Alpert Medical School’s student publication, murmur. Over the years, Nidhi has helped her clients secure admissions at the nation’s most selective programs, including UC Berkeley, Dartmouth, Cornell, Duke, UNC Chapel Hill, NYU, Boston College, and Rochester University’s BS/MD program. As she continues her medical journey, she looks forward to mentoring the next generation of physicians, public health leaders, and healthcare professionals.
