Alix served as the Director of School and College Counseling at a college preparatory school, where she guided students in finding “right-fit” universities by considering their interests, preferred locations, athletic involvement, and career aspirations.Alongside her counseling staff, Alix encourages students to reach their full potential by developing critical thinking skills, effective communication abilities, and competitive test scores. Through daily student engagement and personalized college admissions counseling, Alix has gained valuable insights into a wide range of academic interests and career paths. She uses this knowledge at Moon Prep to guide students toward meaningful extracurricular activities that support their college goals.
Before joining Moon Prep, Alix spent over a decade guiding students through enriching IB and AP curricula at private schools in Florida, where she served as an IB-trained School and College Counselor. In these roles, she provided comprehensive academic, career, and college guidance to students from PK3 through 12th grade, rooted in a student-centered, forward-thinking philosophy. She believes the advising process should empower students to make informed academic choices by thoughtfully considering their interests, potential career paths, and personal fulfillment.
