Bio:
A lead counselor with Moon Prep, Nicole collaborates with her students throughout the admissions process, working with them to bolster their academic profiles, pursue the right financial aid packages, and ultimately realize their academic goals. Nicole is one of the first faces new students will meet as she onboards them with their college mentor and essay coach. As a licensed professional school counselor, she has a passion for meaningful partnership with students and their families, and strives to ensure everyone has a positive experience as they achieve their goals of attending their top-choice program.

Nicole has served as the school counselor at a charter high school in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she provided one-on-one and group counseling to upperclassmen and aspiring college students. In this role, she taught the College and Career Readiness course, coordinated dual enrollment with a local community college, and worked with students during the college application process to ensure applications are completed successfully and on time. Nicole also actively tutors students in writing skills and standardized test prep to increase their overall academic profiles for admission. With her on-the-ground perspective advising younger students and graduating seniors every year, Nicole enjoys sharing her insights and expertise with Moon Prep students as they prepare themselves for the lengthy application process.

Prior to Moon Prep, Nicole worked as a university counselor where she met with students and their families on a daily basis to discuss federal and state financial aid programs and advised them on college admissions. She also assisted students with the FAFSA applications, re-evaluation documents for families with extenuating circumstances, and the best options for tuition payments. Nicole is certified in New York and North Carolina for K-12 school counseling.
